The OpenERP Maintenance guaranties the long term reliability of your solution. The publisher’s warranty includes unlimited access to the technical support for bug fixing and security alerts management.
The maintenance contract provides an unlimited access to the technical support of OpenERP for bug-related issues. The technical support is available in English, 5/7 days, 13/24h. It is available by phone or email. It doesn’t cover functional user support which consists of helping a user or supporting the client in the configuration of OpenERP. Support services are generally provided by an OpenERP Partner or in specific cases can be purchased as an option to the maintenance contract. It is available as a prepaid pack of support hours.
As OpenERP manages critical data for your company, it is important to be very proactive in case of a vulnerability issue detection in the OpenERP software. Once a security bug is detected by OpenERP sa or by the community, we provide you with a patch to fix the issue one month before the public announce of the security fix. This allows you to update your installation before the public announce and release of the patch.
What does it cover?
The maintenance contract covers the kernel of OpenERP as well as all quality certified modules. As we provide unlimited bug fixing and migration services, we need to check that each module follows OpenERP’s quality standards. That is why specific modules developed by a customer or his integrator need to be certified in order to be covered by the maintenance contract. It allows OpenERP sa to evaluate the required effort to maintain and migrate to future versions and check the scalability of the module.
